Lenten Soup Suppers

During Lent, the soup suppers will be served at 5:30 and the Lent church service will begin at 6:30.  Lent Soup Suppers are so successful because everyone participates by bringing food if possible. The food you bring should serve 10-12 people. One half of the church directory alphabet brings soup while the other half brings salad or dessert for the dinner. The host committee provides beverages and bread or crackers along with setting up and cleaning up from the supper.  When you bring your food item to share, the host committee will not be washing dishes as part of clean-up, so make sure to take your dish home that Wednesday evening. The order of who brings what when is as follows:

The Fellowship Committee will be hosting the last soup supper in the Lent season on March 24th.  As of now the committee is considering a demonstration of a Christian Seder on this date combined with the usual format of the soup supper. This is a change from what was written in your Church News previously. Please come to this soup supper bringing your usual potluck. The Fellowship Committee prayerfully hopes to teach and learn about a Christian Seder along with those who also attend this soup supper. There is no cost and no need to r.s.v.p.
